We don't think that anyone needs anymore convincing that dogs are one of the best things that ever happened to humanity, but just in case someone does, we promise that this article will do it. Everyone already knows that dogs are the cutest, and we already know that dogs bring people joy. It doesn't even matter whether you're a dog owner yourself or not, it's simply something that everyone knows.

But we think that what people who don't own dogs don't know is that dogs are more than just cute and funny. Dogs are truly some of the best people. Dogs will be by your side whenever you need them as long as you need them no matter what. And some dogs – because apparently, we didn't have enough reasons to think dogs were amazing – can even tell that you're sick before you even know it, and they will sit by your side and give you their unconditional love for as long as you need it and longer.

    When I felt okay again, I made my way to my bedroom to change and turned around to see her watching over me.
